Camden
Camden Market, (tube Camden town or Chalk Farm), Sa & Su 09-17 flea market. Open-air and indoor markets, each with its own distinctive flavour, line a street of shops, bars and restaurants in North West London. The market has been going on for well over thirty years, and has undergone enormous changes. After a devastating fire former Camden Lock Market reopened in May 2009 as the Camden Lock Village.
The Stables Market is the largest section and many of its stalls and shops are set into the huge arches in the railway viaducts. It is a mixture of indoor and outdoor shops and stalls, some of them permanent, others hired by the day.
Buck Street Market is an outdoor market focusing on clothes. There are a few stallholders who design their own wares though at the weekend these designs are more likely to be found in the Electric Ballroom market.
Electric Ballroom has been a night club since the 1950s. It is open during the day on weekends as an indoor market selling similar goods to the other markets.
Inverness Street Market is a small street market now retaining only three vegetable and fruit stalls amongst stalls like the rest of the markets.
